It has been a long time since I updated Stella's blog, and there have been many developments! Foremost, the recent addition to our family. Welcome to Nathaniel Christopher! He is a sweet and cuddly little dude.
Stella is now a big sister to "Bee Bee Nate", and she seems to be enjoying the job. Nate was born on April 17th, and came home to meet his sister. Stella was very excited to see him, and requested that we hand him over. She was pretty disappointed that we wouldn't let her pick him up, but has learned to help out in other ways. She throws his diapers in the garbage, rocks him in his cradle, and covers him with the blanket. She often asked to "See him" or "Pet him". She is very gentle with him and he loves watching his big sis.
Stella has just finished up her first swimming class at the park district, and really enjoyed it. She was the loudest singer and loved kicking and splashing with toys and Daddy in the water. She is registered for swimming this July, so stay tuned.
Currently, I am home on my maternity leave with the kiddos, and we have been waiting for the weather to get better so that we can get out on the town! Stella and Nate have been riding in style in their new double stroller as we head out into the wilderness in search of Stella's passion: pinecones. Now that summer is on our doorstep, we should be adding to the collection.
Stella is a full-fledged gabber. She uses full sentences, correct verb tense (mostly) and subject-verb agreement. It is amazing how quickly she picked it all up. She also loves to sing us songs and is counting up to 18! I wonder if Nate will ever be able to get a word in...
