Our first Mother's Day was great. It really was a moving experience for me, and I looked forward to it for weeks.
We started off our day with gifts. Stella gave me a cute card and an orchid, and Chris got me Billy Elliot tickets! We then headed out to The Himalayan Restaurant for the grand buffet with Grandma Lundgren and the uncles. Stella loves to go out to restaurants and people watch. She was a very good girl. Daddy, Grandma, and I ate a ton of yummy food; Jack and David sat there and were whiny about it.
Following the restaurant, the family unit went to Golf Mill Mall to hunt for some carseats. Stella is over the weight limit for the infant seat, and we need one for each car. We didn't have much luck at Target, but settled into the food court to feed the baby some fruit and cereal.
Shop, shop, shop! We bought Stella a swimsuit (the kind that covers her up from UV rays), some hair barrettes, and the cutest little 4th of July tutu. She enjoyed a leisurely afternoon at the mall in the stroller.
After the mall, we headed over to the Stahlmann's where we ate, yet again! We stayed over there pretty late, and the snuggle-bug crashed as soon as we had her in the car. Overall, a great day with the family and our favorite girl.
In other news, Stella's two teeth are coming up and they are wicked cute. She contentedly sits and plays, eats some finger food, she eats avocado, and is making raspberries like a pro. Still no crawling, but she really doesn't get much of a chance to work in this area- as she is rarely on her tummy on the floor.
Daddy dressed Stella one day this week. She was sporting a black polka dot shirt and black flowered overalls. Silly, silly, Daddy.
