This is what Stella does when you ask her to smile. Sometimes it is more of a grimace.
In other news, Stella's baby brother will be here in five weeks and we are doing our best to get prepared (which means we are procrastinating so that we don't get too stressed about it). Stella has been playing with her baby doll and practicing being "nice". She will often pet my belly and talk to the baby. We still don't have a name, but she says "Nate" pretty well... So maybe?
Speaking of speaking... Stella is chatting away! She says okay, alright, vacuum, refrigerator, and likes to talk about Grandad/Grandma/Daydid (David) at any given time. She has memorized tons of words from her books and surprises us every day! Just yesterday she read the numbers 3, 8, and 10. There are some first word books that she now knows front to back. Although she continues to substitute /t/ for /k/ sounds, she is becoming quite intelligible. And all of these new words mean that she is full of new opinions!
