Chris had Stellarella on the scale today and she is over 19 lbs! We are excited to take her in to the doc in a week to get her measurements. The baby looks more like a little girl every day.
Stella is developing her palate with some new foods. She loves pears, and had banana for the first time today. She gobbles down fruits, and makes the most dramatic gagging noise when I try to give her sweet potatoes. We'll be introducing peas in a few days as well. I am enjoying my new baby food culinary duties, and have created a stockpile of ice-cub sized portions!
Stella is now sitting unsupported for a few minutes at a time, and has increased her repertoire of sounds. Lately, she has started growling (I think she gets this from her cousin Eric), saying lub-lub-lub, and making raspberry noises on her chubby popeye arms. She is refining her grasp and has transferred objects from one hand to another.
We've taken a few nice walks in our jogging stroller, and are looking forward to the new Spring weather. Also, Chris booked our England trip and Stella will be crossing the pond on 7/23 to meet her relatives. I'm a little nervous about all of the accouterments necessary for baby care and am already thinking about packing!
