I've Found My Feet and I'm Going to Scream About It.

Stellarella has found her feet! She happily grabs at them all day, and it is only a matter of time until one of them makes its way into her mouth. I should now mention that she has stinky feet, despite frequent bathing, and that they have been stinky since her first day on Earth. Chris blames me.

We started eating sweet potatoes today! I doubt that she swallowed much, but she didn't make a nasty face or spit them out (she has done this with the cereal, so now I sneak it into her bottle). By the time we were done with the tablespoon sized serving, she was covered and even had some in her nose. I am amazed at how much one potato made, and have the remainder of today's batch freezing in ice cube trays. We still need to work on her spoon-swallow-coordination, but the interaction time is worth all of the mess and effort.

This weekend has been packed, and we even missed one of our play dates. Last night we visited Frankie, who is now one month old and rolls around like a pro. Daddy ate too much pizza, but Stella had a rockin' time watching all of the people milling about. Stella went to see Mari's basketball game today. Mari scored a bunch of baskets, but victory eluded her and her teammates. It was Stella's first sporting event, and it left me imagining what the future will bring for our girl. We then met up with Grandpa Gary to hang and eat Panera. Michelle is coming over this weekend to play with our little samosa as well. It is a busy time with lots of friends!

Fun in February

February is coming to a close and our little pot-pie is almost five months old! Time is flying and she is getting so big. As I type this, Stella is jumping and squealing after eating a 7 oz bottle and some cereal. We certainly enjoy our weekends together. Stella continues to go see Grandma Connie during the week while Dad and I work. They are having a lot of fun, and Grandma even does some laundry for us! Such a wonderful treat!

Chris had a birthday on the 5th, so Stella went over to Jack and Colleen's while we went out to see Avatar and eat at Maria's. Stella was getting sick at the time and was very cranky. Jack looked really tired when we came to pick her up, but I am sure he will have her out at the beach all summer! Oh, Stella is anxiously awaiting an invitation to be a flower girl at their wedding this August.

Grandma Lundgren watched Stella while Chris and I went to Sushi Station for Valentine's day. It was our second date since Stella arrived. Stella got valentines from John and Marie Burke, Grandma and Grandpa Stahlmann (with $2 for her piggy bank), and a bear from Grandma Louise.

Stella is working on her language skills and currently enjoys showing off her new silly falsetto voice. She will even mimic me when I do it first. She has been quite a happy baby lately, and we are digging all the smiles and giggles she gives us.

We applied for a passport this weekend, and Stella even smiled for the photo. We are planning a trip to see family in England and perhaps a Spring Break trip as well.

Cereal and Sniffles

Stella had her first cereal today! She didn't like it, and she didn't swallow any either. Dad and I need to work on our spoon feeding technique, but we dumped the leftovers into her bottle and she ate it up. Better luck tomorrow!

Stella met Sheri and Mikey's little Francesca. She is eleven days old. I had already forgotten how tiny newborns are! She is so cute.

Stella has her first case of the sniffles. She has been a beast since her vaccinations on Tuesday and today she started to cough a bit. She has a runny nose and is showing us her inner McCranster. Poor little baby.

So you think you can dance?

Stella in her jumparoo doing a jig.

Chunka-Muffin

Our sprout weighed in today at a whopping 17 lbs and 2 oz! She was also 26" long. Both measurements were off the graph! She is growing fast. The pediatrician said that we can start cereal and begin veggies and fruits soon as well! We will have to post some new snaps once this happens.

Stella had two shots today. She didn't notice the first one, but the second really ticked her off. Woah baby.

Stella is in her jumparoo right now. Her toes hardly reach, but she bounces and bounces and bounces. It's exhausting watching her, but awfully hilarious. She LOVES it. Big thanks to Great Grandma Margaret for the purchase. It is fun for the whole family, and torture for the dog.

Stella rolled over this week! She was at Grandma Connie's and was on her tummy. Grandma turned away and Stella was on her back and off of the mat. Maybe the cat was up to no good, maybe she rolled over. I guess that is between Stella and the cat.
